Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included with this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICIATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICIATATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The U.S. Army Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, has a requirement to evaluate a Digital Press for a six month test option with four (4) one year option periods. The location of the evaluation will be the Heavy Print Facility, m 3d PSYOP Battalion, Fort Bragg, NC 28310. The specifications necessary are as follows: (1) Four Color Digital Offset Style Printing (computer to press direct imaging, networkable) (2) Paper size: 12 5/8 x 18 ?, (3) Speed: 2,000-8000 Sheets per hour (SPH) Press must be able to run either single color or multi-color products in a single pass (4) Automatic Duplexing: Ability to print color on both sides, simultaneously (5) Electronic Collation: Capability to produce one complete multi-page booklet after the other (6) Immediate Proofing Capability: Minimum of two minutes, Product Personalization: Each sheet can be produced with a different defined image, number or message; 800+ DPI; Adobe Postscript, PDF, Environmental: Extra friendly; no solvents required to clean rollers or cylinders. The offeror shall submit information that the offered product complies with all aspects of the above specifications and a monthly /annual price for each option period including delivery, installation, service and removal. Contractor shall also with their quote , submit pricing and service fee for each of the four (4) one year options. All quotes must reference the Request for Solicitation Number USZA92-02-Q-0007. Solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC2001-04. It is the Contractor's responsibility to be familiar with all applicable clauses and provisions. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 532490. The successful offeror shall meet all of the specifications and deliver and set up the test unit at Fort Bragg, NC. PROVISIONS AND CLAUSES INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE: The following Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) provisions are applicable to the acquisition: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offers-Commercial Items; 52.212-2 Evaluation Commercial Items, with the following factors inserted in paragraph "a" of the provision, The Basic of Award is technically acceptable, low price. Quotes will be evaluated as to the specifications, price of the rental as stated above. Offerors shall submit clear item specifications that comply with the specifications contained above. 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items and Defense Federal Acquisition Supplement (DFARS) 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Item are applicable to this requirement and offerors shall include a completed copy of the Representations and Certifications with their quote. The following FAR Clauses are applicable: 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; 52-212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, the with following clauses being applicable to the RFQ: 52.203-6 Alt 1, 52.222-26, 52.232-33, 52.222-36, 52.247-64,and 52.222-35. Additionally, DFARS 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration; 252-212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes Applicable to Defense Acquisition of Commercial Items with the clause 252-225-7004 applicable.
