Description
This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Program and is open to all businesses, large and small. The estimated value of this procurement is between $100,000 and $500,000. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. This acquisition is for dockside repairs to the USCGC JOSHUA APPLEBY (WLM 556), a 175-foot coastal buoy tender whose homeport is in St. Petersburg, Florida. Repairs are to be performed at the cutters homepier. The performance period is for 42 days, and is expected to begin on or about June 17, 2002. The scope of the acquisition is for the overhauling, cleaning and repairing of various items aboard the USCGC JOSHUA APPLEBY (WLM 556). This work will include, but is not limited to: Base Items: Install Eyewash Stations, Modify Buoy Chain Port, Repair Bridge and Crane Shack Windows, Install Galley Equipment and APC Fire Suppressant Interlock System, Install Hydraulic Power Unit Emergency Stop Switches, Clean Gaylord and Laundry Ventilation Ducting, Modify HVAC System, Install Refrigerant Leak Detection and Alarm System, Install Isolation Valves for Hydraulic Power Unit, Modify Sewage System Piping, Install New Buoy Deck Padeyes, Preserve Bilges, Preserve and Disinfect Potable Water Tanks, Renew Galley Deck Covering System, Complete XPO Stateroom Modifications, GFP Report, Travel and Per Diem. Option Item: Composite Labor Rate. Trained welders, who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures, shall accomplish all welding and brazing.
