- Description
- The Veterans Affairs Medical Center located in Birmingham, Alabama has approximately 78,800 square feet of available rooftop space. This rooftop space is spread over many elevations and wings of the medical center. Bids will be evaluated on a square footage basis. The highest bidder, on a per square foot basis, will be the winning bid and will have the first choice of rooftop space and mechanical room space. Once this bidder has been accommodated, the next highest bidder will have space and so on. This will involve multiple bidders receiving space. The rooftop space is available in 25 square foot blocks, with a single block able to accommodate a single whip or panel antenna. Larger antennas, like 10 foot satellite dishes, will require multiple 25 square foot increments allowing the VAMC to maintain basic horizontal separation between multiple antennas from successful bidders. A meeting will be held with interested parties at 1:30 pm on March 14, 2002 at the Birmingham VAMC. Please call Mary Callahan at 205-933-8101, ext. 5373 for reservations.
