- Description
- The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Detachment, Newport intends to procure 40 ea. Header Assembly on a Limited Source basis from either D.G. O?Brien, Seabrook, MA or ITT Cannon, Santa Ana, CA. This will result in a Firm Fixed Price contract. Limited Competition procedures are used as the drawings are SOURCE CONTROL DRAWINGS and whoever makes this Header Assembly must be on a Qualified Products List, and the two listed firms are the only approved source of supply at this time. The time for qualification is estimated to take one year. This proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only two sources using SAP and Commercial item procedures as set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13. Any vendors that may be interested in becoming an approved source for these items should contact the Contracting Officer for further information of the qualification process.
