Description

This is a notice of intent to issue a sole source purchase order to Data Security Inc., 729 ?Q? Street, Lincoln, NE 68508 (800) 225-7554 or (402) 434-5959, for an HD-6000 Chamber Degausser with One Year Service Agreement and a Initial Certification. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. The HD-6000 cavity degausser is a DOD approved special purpose degausser designed for purging hard drives and magnetic media. It meets DOD 5200.28 M requirements for purging hard drives up to 3000 Oersteds and magnetic tape media up to 2500 Oersteds. Responses must be in writing and may submitted to Barbara Bowles at bowlesb@soc.mil, including prices and information sufficient to determine capability to meet the requirement and must be received by this office within 15 calendar days of publication of this notice. No telephone requests will be accepted. Requests for a solicitation will be considered non-responsive. All responses from responsible sources submitting the required information will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that the action may be competed with resulting award under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Responsible firms responding to this synopsis will be considered if the action is competed. The NAICS is 333999 (SIC 3679)
