- Offerors sought. In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration?s Acquisition Management System (FAAAMS), the FAA Western-Pacific Region hereby publicly announces that it intends to solicit a Request for Offers (RFO). North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this project is 233320. <P> The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment and materials to provide all fire/life safety upgrades to the Van Nuys Municipal Airport, Air Traffic Control Tower, located in Van Nuys, California. Work includes, but is not limited to: Replace doors. Seal penetrations. Furnish and install new addressable fire alarm control panel. Furnish and install smoke detectors. Furnish and install manual pull stations. Furnish and install horn/strobe. Furnish and install magnetic door holders. Furnish and install illuminated exit signs, etc. A MANDATORY job walk will be held on a date to be announced later. <P> Six (6) potential offerors have been identified. Solicitations will also be sent to the first five (5) firms that respond to this announcement. All requests must be received in this office no later than 1:00 PM (west coast time) on March 6, 2002. Any request received after this date, regardless of how transmitted, will not be honored. Request for a solicitation package must identify the solicitation number, name of firm, point of contact, telephone number, fax number and mailing address. Requests must be made in writing to: FAA, Western-Pacific Region Office, Acquisition Management, AWP-55, P.O. Box 92007, Los Angeles, CA 90009-2007. Requests may be e-mailed to james.travers@faa.gov, or faxed to 310.725.6842. If you choose to respond via e-mail or fax, the FAA will not be responsible for any failure attributable to the transmission or receipt of your response.
