Description
This acquisition is for an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for a one year base period plus two pre-priced, one year option periods. The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, materials, and supervision to complete the work under Project No. PQWY 02-1004 entitled IDC Rubber Removal/Runway Re-Stripe at McChord AFB, Washington. Work includes 1) removal of rubber buildup estimated up to 720,000 square feet (SF) per year, and 2) airfield pavement markings estimated up to 170,000 square feet (SF) per year in areas as directed. The existing runway is 150 feet by 10,100 feet. The applicable NAICS Code is 234110 with a small business size standard of $28.5 Million. The magnitude of construction for the base year as well as each option year is between $100,000 and $250,000.The aggregate magnitude for all years is between $250,000 and $500,000. In conformance with FAR 19.1300 this acquisition is being considered for Hubzone set-aside. If your firm is Hubzone certified and intends to propose on this acquisition, please provide the following information to the Contracting Officer not later than ten (10) days after the publication of this notice: 1) SBA certification of Hubzone eligibility, 2) Capability statement of your firm, and 3) a positive statement that your firm intends to propose on this acquisition. Based on response, the Contracting Officer will make a determination; if there is not a reasonable expectation of adequate competition, the acquisition will be conducted under full and open competition procedures. The solicitation will be available for download from the Internet by accessing the government-wide electronic Posting System website at http://www.eps.gov. Issuance of the solicitation will be on or about 18 Mar 02 with the closing date for receipt of proposals on or about 18 Apr 02.
