- NA The Seattle District, Corps of Engineers intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Douglas County Sheriffs Department, Douglas County, Washington under authority 10 USC 2304 ? (1) for Professional Law Enforcement Services. The contractor will furni sh Professional Law Enforcement services within the scope of normal law enforcement service standards on all project lands, to include the following: enforcement of civil and criminal laws of the State and County including investigations of theft, vandali sm, trespass, assault, abductions, etc.; search and rescue efforts normally provided by the County; and enforcement of State of Washington boating laws in and immediately adjacent to project lands and recreation facilities. Estimated cost is $185,000.00 in cluding the option years. This procurement is recommend as a result of the Risk Assessment Methodology for Dams Study which identified Chief Joseph Dam as a higher risk facility needing additional law enforcement coverage. Thus, the contract is to provide professional law enforcement services to U. S. Army Corps of Engineers project lands and facilities at Chief Joseph Dam Project. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 561612 and the Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 7381 wit h size standard of $ 9 million. This solicitation will be issued as an Electronic Bid Set (EBS) only. CD-Rom format or Disk will not be made available.
