- Description
- **This announcement is for Executive Branch Federal Government entities Only.** The Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP) and the Procurement Executives Council (PEC) initiated a re-design of the Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS). The re-engineered system will be the Federal Acquisition Management Information System (FAMIS). Public Law 93-400 established the FPDS for collecting, developing, and disseminating procurement data. FAMIS is an enhancement to integrate with agency electronic commerce systems and to provide timely management information. All interested Executive Branch federal agencies are invited to participate in one of two public forums to discuss the Government?s informational and operational needs. The forums will be held on March 7 and 13, 2002, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., each of the two days, in the GSA Auditorium, 18th and F Streets, NW, Washington, D.C. A U.S. Government building pass will be required to enter the forum. Information regarding the FPDS re-engineering initiative is available on the FAMIS website at www.arnet.gov/egov/famis/famis2.html.
