Description
THIS IS A SYNOPSIS FOR COMMERCIAL SERVICES PROCURED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FAR SUBPART 12.6. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WIL BE ISSUED ON OR ABOUT MARCH 1, 2002. The solicitation number is OPM-RFP-02-0009KLM and will as a Request for Proposal incorporating provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-3. This procurement is NOT a small business setaside and is classified under NAICS code 721110 with a size standard of $5 million. This acquisition is for hotel/conference facilities and services. The contract will cover one base period and one option period for a maximum of 24 months. Conference dates will always be in the month of November. The specific dates will be determined well in advance of the training conference, in accordance with terms of the contract. The preferred dates for the 2003 and 2004 conferences must be during nonholiday weeks. The Fall Festival can run either Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday. However, if the week after Thanksgiving is proposed, the Festival must begin on Tuesday and run through Friday. A facility in an area of low risk to winter storms during the Festival week is preferred. The facility must offer easy airport connections to accommodate out-of-town attendees. A location near an airport that serves as a hub for at least two airlines is preferred. Direct airport shuttle service is highly desirable. Training conference attendance is estimated to be about 300 persons. Conference facilities and services under this contract will include 8 training rooms that accommodate about 50 attendees, exhibition space, continental breakfast, mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack services, registration services, audio-video equipment, parking, and business center accommodations. Proposals in response to this solicitation are to be submitted to: US Office of Personnel Management, Contracting Division, room 1342, 1900 E Street, NW, Washington, DC, 20415-7710. All offers are expected to be due by March 28, 2002, 3:00 eastern standard time.
