- Description
- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) will be reestablishing the Grasshopper/ Mormon Cricket Aerial Spray Program in 2002. As a result, the APHIS, ASD, Contracting Activity at the Minneapolis Business Site will be contracting for control treatment services for aerial spraying of insecticides. Contracting is limited solely to pre-approved/licenced aerial applicators that are on the APHIS bidders list. Interested parties shall complete an Aerial Solicitation Mailing List Application. Upon receipt of the complete forms, the applicants qualification will be evaluated. Once approved, your firm will be added to the APHIS bidder's list making you eligible to compete for upcoming aerial spraying jobs in the year 2002. The majority of Spray requirements are anticipated in Utah and Idaho, the following states may also have aerial spray requirements: Montana, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Washington, North Dakota, South Dakota, Arizona, Wyoming and Texas. Approved companies will receive a copy of the 2002 Aerial Spray Prospectus. The prospectus contains the terms and conditions of any subsequent contracts that your firm may be awarded. As individual aerial spray requirements are identified, approved aerial applicators on the bidders list will be contacted based on the State where the service is required and aircraft category. Award preference will be given to small businesses, small disadvantage small businesses, women-owned small businesses, etc. over large business concerns. For a copy of the application and the prospectus once it's avaiable, submit a written or faxed request stating name, address, telephone, fax, e-mail address, solicitation number and description of sevice this solicitation pertains to the contract officer at fax # 612/370-2136. TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The Application will be posted at the APHIS, Contracting Office Web site at http://www.aphis.usda.gov/mpls/contracts/cbc.html on or about February 28, 2002. The Prospectus will be posted at the APHIS Web site upon completion which is target date of March 15, 2002
