Description
WORK TO BE DONE: This contract consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to construct individual onsite wastewater disposal systems, individual water and sewer service lines, and other required appurtenances. Work is to be performed at or near approximately ten Indian residences located in Modoc and Lassen Counties, California. It is estimated that eight septic tank drainfield systems, two engineered wastewater disposal systems, five water service lines and one sewer service line connection will be installed during the base and option year. The individual septic tank drainfield systems will consist of a septic tank and either a gravel or chamber drainfield system. It is estimated that short water main extensions with flush hydrants and gate valves will be required for the base and option year. It is estimated that short sewer main or sewer service line extensions will be required for the base and option year. Contractor must be licensed by the California Contractor State License Board as a C-42 Sanitation System Contractor. Contractor must submit a copy of C-42 license with their bid to be considered for award. The proposed contract is solicited pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program with a Price Evaluation Adjustment for Small Disadvantaged Business Concerns in accordance with FAR 52.219-23. Contract period is for one year, with one, 1-year option. Estimated magnitude of construction is $200,000 to $350,000. This will be a fixed price requirements contract. Award will be based on the lowest total bid price, (all base bid plus all option year line items), after application of the Price Evaluation Adjustment for Small Disadvantaged Business Concerns, from a responsive, responsible contractor. Bid opening date is scheduled O/A May 3, 2002 at 2:00PM (CST). All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. Contractors shall insure that bonding capability for a project of this magnitude is available.
