- Description
- FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire Desktop Publishing and Library Support Services at the Navy Warfare Development Command (NWDC) and Naval War College (NWC), in Newport, RI. This acquisition is being offered for competition limited to eligible 8(a) concerns. The contractor will be required to provide desktop publishing and CD-ROM Web-based products as well as publication and database management in the processing, maintenance, distribution and tracking of the Navy Warfare Library (NWL) and other publications /products /curriculum materials in several media formats. Specific tasks to be performed include, but are not limited to, keystroking of new material; editing text, graphics and tables; scanning hard copy text to produce a text file; desktop publishing tasks; proofreading for substance; bookmarking and linking in HTML/XML files; and conversion of files to other formats. An indefinite quantity, labor hour contract is anticipated with a base period of performance commencing on or about 01 June 2002 and ending on 31 May 2003. The contract will also provide for four (4) one-year option provisions. The Request for Proposal (RFP) may require the submission of technical, past performance and cost/price proposals. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 511199; size standard 500 employees. Eligibility to participate may be restricted to firms in either the developmental stage or the developmental and transitional stages. Interested 8(a) firms are encouraged to download a copy of the RFP as expeditiously as possible as the solicitation will be issued without further notice. Interested 8(a) firms may submit a proposal which will be considered by the Government. The solicitation will be made available electronically upon its release at www.neco.navy.mil. Paper copies, faxed copies, or email copies of the solicitation will not be provided. In order to register for courtesy notification of solicitation posting, and any subsequent amendment posting, interested parties may register for this business opportunity by email message to Scott_J_Rubin@phil.fisc.navy.mil. Any courtesy notifications provided by the Government via email are exactly that - a courtesy. Interested parties are solely responsible for monitoring the above mentioned website for posting of the solicitation and any amendments thereto. The Government will not pay for information received.
