Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) has an emerging requirement for approximately 300 lightweight containers to transport medical supplies and equipments. This requirement is for a highly mobile container to air transport supplies and equipment that comprise the Forward Resuscitative Surgery System. These containers must meet the following parameters: Ruggedized (withstand being dropped from approximately 5 feet - loaded) Lightweight Capable of carrying by two to four persons Capable of being cargo strapped Moisture and air tight sealed Capable of maintaining seal in an unpressurized air-transport environment Capable of holding 150 lbs to 300 lbs in a cubic space of 7 to 10 cubic feet. Not to exceed 48 inches in length Have a hinged and /or removable lid. It is desired that the containers also be interlocking. Vendors with the capability of meeting the stated requirements should send capability statements to the cited Point of Contact. The ability to customize existing containers to meet these requirements in 60-90 days and any existing certifications or test data for the containers should also be addressed. This notice is for market research only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION OR PROPOSALS. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS AT THIS TIME. The information received under this announcement may be used for developing an acquisition strategy. Submission of material or information in response to this announcement shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to procure any items/services, or for the Government to pay for the information received. NOTE: The National Institute for the Severely Handicapped (NISH) may be designated as the prime vendor for this requirement. However, all companies that have the capability to meet these requirements are urged to respond.
