- Description
- The project consists of the demolition and removal of the existing 3,034 square foot built-up-roof system. Consisting of 2 layers of asphalt and fiberglass, 1 - 1.5 inch layer of fiberboard bonded with asphalt to a second layer of 1.5 inch fiberboard which is bonded with asphalt to the concrete deck. Removal of existing flashing and Christmas lights mounted on wires is also required. The installation of a new built-up roof system with stainless steel coping, a new aluminum roof hatch, new flashing and minor concrete repair. The new built-up roof system consists of a 2 ply BUR vapor barrier, 1.5 inch polyiso insulation, taper eps insulation, 0.5 inch fiberboard and a mineral cap BUR top, with each adhered with asphalt. Work shall be performed at Juneau Mineral information Center, 100 Savikko Road, Mayflower Island, Douglas, Alaska 98820. Price range is between $25,000 and 100,000.
