Description
Sources Sought Synopsis. This is not a solicitation or request for proposals. The AF Space Battlelab is currently applying for approval of a Foreign Comparative Testing (FCT) program to test and evaluate a non-developmental item space surveillance satellite laser ranging system. This synopsis is part of a market survey to identify commercial off the shelf (COTS), non-developmental items (NDI), or near NDI systems. The satellite laser ranging system should meet the following requirements: - Orbital accuracy of 10cm for satellites and 1m for debris - Sensitivity to track 2-10cm space debris - Maintain space object catalog up to 50,000 objects, including space debris - 24 hour per day, 7 days per week autonomous scheduling, data acquisition, processing and data dissemination - Minimal logistics and maintenance, including fully enclosed dome to protect the telescope during operations. - Lasers if used for acquisition and tracking must be eye-safe with no FAA restrictions. - Interoperable with US command and control systems Planned Schedule: Test Planning, April 2003; Operational Utility Evaluation October 2003. Potential offerors may identify their interest and capability and shall submit their documentation by only one media (e-mail, fax, Fed Ex, etc.) within 10 days after publication of this notice to the 50 CONS office above with a copy to Lt Col Cassady at SB/SBC, 730 Irwin Ave, Suite 83, Schriever AFB CO 90912-7383. Current information for this demonstration will be maintained and assessable via the electronic posting system (FedBizOps) web link at http://eps.satx.disa.mil.
