Description

NA DESCRIPTION OF WORK (Physical Characteristics): Replace roof panels throughout Bldg. 129-S1. Pressure wash and contain asbestos debris from interior warehouse surfaces. Construct a drive-in warehouse freezer with chilled staging area. Construct a cover ed loading dock, restrooms, a break room, an interior office, and paved parking areas with exterior lighting. Construct forklift battery charging stations, HVAC systems, warehouse lighting, and intrusion detection. Construct a new mechanical building to house an emergency generator, electrical and chiller equipment. Upgrade warehouse fire alarm and fire suppression system to include new fire water storage tank. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Traditional hard copies of plans and specifications will not be available for this project. Solicitation documents will be provided on Compact Disk-Read Only Memory (CD-ROM). Only one copy of the CD-ROM will be provided to prospe ctive offerors. The tentative date for issuance of the solicitation is 29 March 2002. The tentative date for receipt of proposals is 8 May 2002.
