- This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. NAVAIR is requesting current industry information regarding the potential to design an Electronic Countermeasures Unit with the following target characteristics: 1. Price: $500,000 or less 2. Form and fit replacement for ALQ-126B (no acft "A" kit or antenna change) 3. Able to jam pulsed radar, continuous wave and pulsed Doppler RF threats 4. Increased reliability and maintainability through introduction of new/improved technology. Re-use of portions of the ALQ-126B are permitted, or the approach may address an entirely new design subject to the constraints above. Pertinent to (4) above, re-use of ALQ-126B components will not include using the current power supplies. Specifications of proposed solutions to this requirement should be classified Secret in a draft Equipment Specification. Interested firms may submit a capability statement to demonstrate the potential to provide the services and material necessary to design, fabricate, test, and produce their solution. Interested parties will be required to demonstrate the ability to obtain a valid DOD security clearance to at least the SECRET level, and an approved classified storage facility (SECRET Level). The government reserves the right to prohibit firms access to any classified information, until the appropriate level of security classification is obtained. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR AN INDICATION THAT THE NAVY WILL CONTRACT FOR THIS REQUIREMENT. The Government will not pay for information received in response to this RFI. This is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability and adequacy of potential sources. Interested parties are to submit a capability statement, which shall include, at a minimum, the following information: 1. Prior/current corporate experience in performing efforts of similar size and scope including contract number, organization supported, contract value, and a brief description. 2. A company profile including name, address, POC, and size of business, and SIC Code. 3. A description of the company's technical qualifications and capabilities. 4. Estimated price of approach.
