NSN: 2530007376689 Item Description: BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY. This solicitation is to rebuild 1754 each of our current stock. The following is the statement of work. STATEMENT OF WORK FOR REBUILDING BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY. THIS STATEMENT OF WORK CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTS: SECTION 1.0 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY SECTION 2.0 TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS SECTION 3.0 QUALITY REQUIREMENTS ***SECTION 1.0 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY THE DEFENSE SUPPLY CENTER COLUMUBS (DSCC) WILL MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO HAVE 1754 BRAKE BOOSTERS, NSN 2530-00-737-6689, SHIPPED FROM W25G1U NEW CUMBERLAND, PA. BEFORE THIS SHIPMENT IS RECEIVED, THE CONTRACTOR WILL ASSEMBLE A PROPERTY SEGREGATION AREA, WHICH WILL CONSIST OF METAL SHELVING USED AS WALLS TO BE PLACED IN AN ISOLATED AREA OF THE CONTRACTOR'S PLANT. THIS PROPERTY SEGREGATION AREA WILL BE USED STRICTLY FOR GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY AND WILL BE UTILIZED BY AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY. UPON ARRIVAL OF THE BRAKE BOOSTERS TO THE CONTRACTOR'S PLANT, THE CONTRACTOR WILL ARRANGE WITH THE QAR TO ATTEND AN OPENING OF UNITS TO ENSURE PRODUCT QUALITY AND QUANTITY. UPON COMPLETION OF INVENTORY COUNT, A REPORT WILL BE ISSUED TO THE CONTRACTING OFFICER. THIS NEW INVENTORY WILL BE TRANSPORTED INTO THE PROPERTY SEGREGATION AREA TO AWAIT THE REPAIR PROCESS. AT ALL TIMES, THE CONTRACTOR WILL HAVE INVENTORY RECORDS AVAILABLE. ***SECTION 2.0 TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS TECHNICIAN WILL UNPACK AND SET-PACK ON A CLEAN WORKBENCH. TECHNICIAN WILL INSPECT UNIT FOR DENTS, CORROSION, AND ANY OBVIOUS EXTERNAL DEFECTS. TECHNICIAN WILL DISASSEMBLE THE UNIT AND REMOVE ALL O-RINGS AND CURE DATED COMPONENTS. TECHNICIAN WILL INSPECT INTERNAL COMPONENTS TO ASSURE IT IS CLEAN AND THAT THE SAME COMPONENTS ARE KEPT TOGETHER BEFORE INSTALLATION OF NEW SEALS. TECHNICIAN WILL INSTALL NEW COMPONENTS FROM PRIOR REMANUFACTURING KIT, PART NUMBER 375844K AND REASSEMBLE PER BENDIX MANUAL 9-200. TECHNICIAN WILL INSTALL AIR-PACK ON TEST EQUIPMENT AND TEST PER BENDIX MANUAL 9-200 TEST PROCEDURES. TECHNICIAN WILL PRESEVE UNIT, TOUCH UP AS REQUIRED, AND REPACKAGE THE UNIT FOR SHIPMENT. ***SECTION 3.0 QUALITY REQUIREMENTS THIS SHELF LIFE ITEM IS NON-EXTENDABLE, CODE W, WITH A TOTAL SHELF LIFE OF ONE HUNDRED TWENTY MONTHS. MATERIAL FURNISHED UNDER THIS CONTRACT/ ORDER SHALL HAVE AT LEAST 85% (102 MONTHS) OF THE SHELF LIFE REMAINING AT TIME OF DELIVERY. SHELF LIFE MARKINGS (CURE AND EXPIRATION DATES) SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH MIL-STD-129N, DTD 15 MAY 1997, AND SHALL BE SHOWN IN CALENDAR QUARTER AND YEAR. EXPIRATION DATE OF THE MATERIAL SHALL BE 120 MONTHS (10 YEARS) FROM THE CURE DATE. (CRITICAL APPLICATION ITEM) DLAD 52.246-9004, PRODUCT VERIFICATION TESTING, APPLIES. THIS CLAUSE IS A GOVERNMENT OPTION THAT CAN ONLY BE INVOKED UPON THE COGNIZANT CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION OFFICE NOTIFYING THE CONTRACTOR THAT PVT SAMPLES ARE TO BE SELECTED. THE INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR STANDARDIZATION (ISO) 9002 OR A "TAILORED" PROGRAM MEETING THE FOLLOWING ISO 9002 PARAGRAPHS APPLIES: 4.5, DOCUMENT CONTROL: LIMITED TO INSPECTION AND TESTING AS WELL AS APPLICABLE DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS REQUIRED BY CONTRACT 4.6, PURCHASING: 4.6.1 AND LIMITED TO 4.6.2 A) AND 4.6.4.2, ALL OTHER PARTS OF PARAGRAPH ARE HEREBY DELETED 4.7, CUSTOMER-SUPPLIED PRODUCT: 4.8, PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION & TRACEABILITY: 4.10, INSPECTION & TESTING: 4.11, INSPECTION, MEASURING & TEST EQUIPMENT: 4.12, INSPECTION AND TEST STATUS: 4.13, CONTROL OF NONCONFORMING PRODUCT: 4.14, CORRECTIVE AND PREVENTIVE ACTION: PARAGRAPH 4.14.3 APPLY TO PRODUCT ONLY 4.16, QUALITY RECORDS: FAR CLAUSE 52.246-11 APPLIES ***Unit of Issue: EA ***Destination Information: FOB Destination to New Cumberland PA ***Delivery Schedule: Phased see Clause F18 of solicitation ***See Note(s): 1, 12, 26, ***The solicitation will be available on its issue date of 03/13/02 at http://dibbs.dscccols.com/rfp. ***The Small Business size standard is 750 employees. ***Specifications, plans or drawings are not available. ***While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. ***Place of performance unknown.
