- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate a sole source hardware contract with Northrop Grumman Corporation, 1 Hornet Way, El Segundo, CA 90245-2804 for the service life extension of the F/A-18 C/D aircraft. The items to be procured are Center Barrel Replacement Plus ship-sets in support of the U.S. Navy and various FMS customers. Northrop Grumman Corporation is the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the Center Barrel Replacement Plus parts. As such, Northrop Grumman Corporation is the only source possessing the unique knowledge, experience, and technical data required to perform the described effort in the requisite time frame. A firm fixed price contract is contemplated. See Notes 22 and 26!!
