Description

The Fleet Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to issue an unrestricted solicitation for a firm fixed price contract for base communication support services for the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic Detachment New Orleans, New Orleans, LA. (NCTL DET NOLA). NCTL DET NOLA's mission is to provide base communications services, including the administrative telephone system and base cable plants aboard the Naval Support Activity New Orleans, Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans, F. Edward Hebert Defense Complex and the Naval Construction Battalion Center Gulfport, MS; to manage, operate and maintain the New Orleans Metropolitan Area Network (MAN); and to manage, operate, and maintain two telecommunications message systems. This solicitation is part of a Government cost comparison to determine whether accomplishing the specified work under contract or by Government performance is more economical. If Government performance is determined to be more economical, this solicitation will be cancelled and no contract will be awarded. Requests for a copy of the RFP should be made by letter or telefax to the Fleet Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia Bid Officer, Fax No.215) 697-9738. The RFP will also be made available electronically at either http://www.neco.navy.mil or http://www.fedbizopps.com. All contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration.
