Description

Pre-Invitation Notice for Roof Replacement. Location: National Personnel Records Center, 111 Winnebago, St. Louis, MO. Time for completion 135 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. Estimated cost range: $1,000,000 to 5,000,000. Project consists of a Base Bid, three (3) Options and eight (8) Unit Prices to do repair and replacement work to the National Civilian Personnel Records Center roof of approximately 310,000 square feet. Base bid is to replace four of the five roof sections of existing ballasted roof with a new ballasted roof. Provide a separate price as Option #1 for replacing the fifth roof section of built-up roof with a new ballasted roof. Provide a separate price as option #2 to make repairs to build-up roof, fifth section in lieu of replacement. Provide a price expected to be a credit as option #3 to reuse the existing ballast from the four ballasted roof sections in lieu of providing new ballast as specified in the Base Bid. The eight Unit Prices to be provided are for various work categories where the quantities of work to be done are hidden and undetermined at this time. The categories include the removal and replacement of: flat & tapered roofing insulation, lightweight concrete, substrate board, and new vapor retarder, new wood nailer, roofing membrane, and fiber board; flashing, metal coping, and vapor barrier, and various flashing, linings, and trim pieces. Competency of Bidder for Membrane Roofing is required prior to award. No document charge or deposit is required.. A subcontracting plan is required if award is anticipated to large business.
