Description

17. The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) has a requirement for software development services for the Participant Records Information Systems Management (PRISM) application suite. The PRISM applications comprise a pension benefit administration and payment processing system that is used by the Insurance Operations Department (IOD) to administer services to participants in pension plans trusteed by PBGC. The existing PRISM applications suite, consisting of 20 individual client/server applications, is being re-designed and consolidated. This procurement provides for the consolidation of six current PRISM applications into a single Benefits Administration Module, related changes to several system administration applications, and modifications to the underlying enterprise-wide participant database that is shared with other IOD applications. The period of performance of the base contract will be from date of award through September 30, 2002, with four (4) one year option periods for renewal at PBGC's discretion. All requests should reference solicitation no. PBGC01-RP-02-0008. All responsible parties submitting a proposal will be considered by the agency. The solicitation document, including amendments, will be distributed through the FedBizOpps.gov web site. The site contains downloading instructions. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to assure that they have the most up to date information about this acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation and associated amendments will not be available. The estimated release date of the solicitation is March 25, 2002.
