- Description
- The International Boundary and Water Commission (IBWC), United States Section, requires the furnishing of labor, materials, equipment and supervision for re-roofing of the high roof of the power-plant at the Amistad Dam in Del Rio, Texas. Amistad Dam is located approximately 12 miles west of Del Rio off US Highway 90 on Spur 349. Work under this requirement includes, but is not limited to, removal and disposal of existing built-up roofing system, including fibrated roof coating, cant strips, insulation, base flashing and vent/penetration flashing, and providing and installing specified built-up roofing system with rigid insulation, cant strips, flashings, glass fiber felts, bitumen, and mineral cap sheet. Drawings showing the general layout and dimensions of the work for the high roof only will be enclosed as an exhibit to the solicitation. Tentative dates for issuing and closing reference solicitation are March 22, 2002 and April 30, 2002, respectively. The work under this contract is to be completed in 90 calendar days from the date of issuance of Notice to Proceed. A Firm Fixed Price contract will be awarded. The estimated price range for this requirement is between $25,000 and $100,000. Request for RFQ should be submitted in writing to the International Boundary and Water Commission, U.S. Section, Attn: Irma Gurrola, at the preceding address. No telephone or facsimile request will be accepted. There will be no charge for the solicitation packet. Offers are solicited from small business concerns. Offers received from businesses that are not small business concerns will not be considered. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 235610 for Roofing, Siding and Sheet Metal Contractors. The associated small business size standard is 11.5 million dollars annual average gross receipts for the past three years. See Note 1
