Description

The U. S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals from prequalified contractors for water infiltration repair at the Pacific Beach Station in San Diego, CA. Water infiltration through roof, skylights and windows has been an on-going problem for this facility. The purpose of the project is to deliver a weather-tight facility. The work includes demolition, replacement of windows, building siding, roofing, and painting. Postal operations will continue during period of construction. The contractor is required to phase work to accommodate operations as shown in the contract documents. The work is to be completed in 150 days after notice to proceed. Estimated range is $400,000-$500,000. This is an owned facility. The proposal must contain the offeror?s overhead, profit, bonds, insurance, and all other contingencies. No allowance for such items will be made after contract award. The minority subcontracting goal for this contract will be 15%. Offers will not be publicly opened.
