Description
Air Force Research Laboratory, Air Vehicles Directorate (AFRL/VAK) solicits research proposals for Validation and Verification of Integrated and Adaptive Control System (VVIACS) Program. The purpose of this program is to provide research and development to produce methodologies for affordable testing and certification of adaptive, and potentially intelligent, control systems performing safety critical tasks. To ensure reliability of the Uninhabited Air Vehicle (UAV) system, techniques will need to be developed to adequately analyze and test flight critical on-board systems. This program will provide analysis of current techniques for validation and verification of flight critical systems and assess new functional requirements for UAV and space applications, e.g., autonomy (unmanned operations), control adaptation, and reconfiguration, multi-vehicle coordinated control, develop new techniques enabling the validation and verification (V&V) and certification of emerging intelligent control concepts within time and cost of current techniques, and demonstrate V&V techniques and benefits on representative control functions. Interested offerors may view and/or download the full PRDA solicitation by accessing the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOps) homepage at http://www.eps.gov/. Direct questions to the Contracting point of contact identified in the announcement.
