- NA The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York requests for quotes (RFQ) to award a commercial contract for the effort consisting of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and services to sandblast and paint the 18 unit sectional barge stored at t he Troy Lock and Dam, Troy, New York. Minor welding and/or plate repairs of cracks and porous metal surfaces may be required. All work will be required to be performed off-site. Flexibloat Sectional Barge, Sandblast, Paint and Minor Crack Repairs to Inc ludej up to 20 Lineal Feet of Weld Repair and/or up to 100 Square Feet of Steel plate Repair. Plans and Specifications may be examined at this office or at the Albany Field Office, 1 Bond Street, Troy, New York. Detailed information for this effort is pr ovided in its entirety on the USACE Website http://nan.usace.army.mil. This is a 100% set-aside for small business. The applicable NAICS Code is 811310 with a small business size standard of $5 million. The duration of the project is approximately 45 cale ndar days. All responsible offerors may submit one quote to be considered. The solicitation will be issued 8, 2002 and quotes will be due within 10 days, March 18, 2002. The media selected for the issuance of the synopsis/solicitation and amendments shall solely be at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, the media utilized for this project shall be the Internet. Paper copies of this solicitation, and amendments, if any, will not be available or issued. Project specification files and drawings are portable document files (PDF) and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Minimum system requiremen ts are 486 Based personal computers, Microsoft Windows 3.1 or greater, 8MB application RAM. A registration page is attached to the website and prospective bidders and subcontractors are required to register and to receive notice of any amendments and /or a ddenda that may be issued to this solicitation.
