Description

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to award a sole source fixed price contract to TEAC America, Inc. , Montebello, CA for the following items: 2 ea. Model AU-GXEPIO Expansion unit with 8 two-channel slots; 16 ea. Model AR-GXPA DC/Constant current amplifier; and 1 ea. Model DRA-GS32 Transportation Case. These items are being procured to add additional channels of recording capability to existing TEAC GX-1 data recording equipment. The required items must be compatible and mate with the existing equipment. Hence, the sole source nature of this acquisition. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source using SAP and commercial item procedures as set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13. Interested parsons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by 2002 March 08 will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No written solicitation will be issued for this acquisition.
