- MARKET RESEARCH - Integrated Security System. This is not a pre-solicitation announcement, but market research to determine the available technology. The Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA), is conducting market research to identify potential technology for an integrated security system. MCTSSA is looking FOR INFORMATION ONLY for method(s) to supply, install, train, maintain, (on-call and scheduled preventative maintenance servicing) an integrated security system located in federally owned facilities within a military installation. This integrated security system must meet the requirements of Director of Central Intelligence Directive (DCID) (in one building only); Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV) Instruction (SECNAVINST) 5510.36; Marine Corps Order (MCO) P5530.14; and Federal specifications RR-F-191J/GEN of 22 July 1981. Security systems include but are no t limited to: video badging; controlled access systems, closed circuit television (CCTV) systems, low light capable (indoor/outdoor) cameras including camera monitors, multiplexors, power supply and digital recorder. Intercommunication systems, intrusion detection and sensing/signaling systems (i.e. motion detectors, door contact switches, duress or panic button; switches, etc.; alarm monitoring, fencing, turnstiles, electronic gates, security lighting, portable steel buildings (guard shack) for the purpose of providing positive access control. This security system must be capable of providing detailed reports. The system will be required to be compatible with Smart Card and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) technology to ensure the future interoperability with the Department of Defense (DoD) implementation of the Common Access Card (CAC). System must be compatible with Mari ne Corps Base Camp Pendleton Electronic Security System since alarms/signals will annunciate at the Provost Marshall?s office for one building. This system will generally require both local and Central Station Alarm Monitoring capabilities. List any procedures for inspection of equipment installation and maintenance work done by the contractor?s technicians. The following information is requested: 1) detailed description, of product and services that are available, 2) product brochures, and 3) historical information of products and services provided to the Federal Government, along with a Government points of contact and phone numbers. Interested firms are requested to respond by 02 April 2002. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a request for proposal nor does its issuance restrict the Government to an eventual acquisition a pproach. The Government will not reimburse the contractor for any cost associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. No solicitation document exists.
