- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. IMPORTANT NOTICE: FAR 52.232-33 (Payment by) Electronic Funds Transfer (--Central Contractor Registration) requires registration in the CCR database. AWARD CANNOT BE MADE UNLESS REGISTERED. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. F700TM20520300 is issued as a Request for Quotation. It is advertised with a Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) of 3699, business size of 750 employees, and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 334511. Requirement is for a Gamma Assay Counting System. Quantity of 3 each of High Purity Germanium Coaxial Detectors, closed-end configuration with aluminum endcap. Must allow infinite recycling to room temperature. Cryostat must be integrated, slim-line configuration with internal preamplifier and high voltage filter. The configuration must be vertical, with the capsule extending vertically above the liquid nitrogen dewar. The outside diameter of the detector capsule endcap must be less than 3.5?. The liquid nitrogen dewar must be a 30-liter capacity. The total height of the dewar, cryostat and capsule must not exceed 37.5?. The detector(s) must meet the following performance specifications: Detectable energy ranges 40 keV to 10 MeV. Guaranteed relative photopeak efficiency >50%. Guaranteed resolution <0.90 keV FWHM at 122 keV (57-Co). <1.90 keV FWHM at 1332 keV (60-Co). Guaranteed peak-to-Compton ratio >=66:1. Guaranteed peak shape FW.1M/FWHM 1.90-2.0. Temperature sensing automatic high voltage shutdown circuit. Quantity of 5 each of Nim Bins with 12 Module connectors and 160-Watt power supply with +/-6V, +/-12V, and +/-24V voltages. These products are for the Air Force Technical Application Center (AFTAC) with delivery to Los Alamos NM. The following provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instruction to Offerors?Commercial Items, The following are addenda to FAR clause 52.212-1: At paragraph, (c) Period of Acceptance for Offers, the amount of time an offeror must hold its prices firm is hereby changed. An offeror must hold the prices in its proposal, firm for 60 calendar days from the date specified for receipt of quotes. Paragraph (e) multiple offers has been determined by the Contracting Officer to be non-acceptable to this solicitation and is hereby removed in its entirety for the purpose of the requirement. Offerors are advised that quotes may be evaluated without discussions. Award might be made to the responsible offeror whose proposal is responsive to the terms of the RFQ and is most advantageous to the government.
