- Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform drydock repairs to the USCGC HAMER (WLIC-75302) including, but not limited to the following base and option items: (1) Remove, Inspect and Reinstall Propulsion Shafts, (2) Renew Water Lubricated Shaft Bearings, (3) Remove, Inspect and Reinstall Propellers, (4) Perform Minor Repair and Reconditioning of Propeller, (5) Clean and Test Grid Coolers, (6) Preserve Transducer Hull Ring and Renew the V850 Depth Indicating Transducer, (7) Overhaul and Renew Valves, (8) Inspect and Overhaul Sea Strainers, (9) Remove, Inspect and Reinstall Rudder Assembly, (10) Inspect Various Deck Fittings, (11) Preserve Underwater Body, (12) Provide Messing and Berthing, (13) Provide Temporary Logistics, (14) Routine Drydocking, (15) Renew Fuel Tank Piping, (16) Renew Tender and Barge Gooseneck Vents, (17) Install Hatches/Scuttles on Barge, (18) Clean Shipboard Ventilation System, (19) Overhaul Air Motor and Warping Capstan Assembly (20) Renew Tender Towing Knees, (21) Renew Sewage Discharge Piping, (22) Preserve FWD Trim Tank, (23) Preserve AFT Mast, (24) Cover and Protect American Aero CG300 Ocean Master Hydraulic ATON Crane, (25) Renew Barge Bottom Shell Plating and Longitudinal Framing, (26) Composite Labor and (27) Laydays. The vessel is a 75 Foot ?A? Class Construction Tender. The vessels homepier is located in Mayport, FL. The place of performance for this availability will be the contractor?s facility. The geographic restriction for this vessel is from Tampa, FL to Philadelphia, PA via Intra Coastal Waterway. The performance period will be 42 calendar days with a start date on or about 8 July 2002. Trained welders, who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures, shall accomplish all welding and brazing. Drawings are available on CD-ROM, free of charge to contractors. However, a non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard, for printed copies of the drawings. All other referenced documents are available for viewing at 300 E. Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA. All businesses, large and small are encouraged to submit bids for the subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued on or about March 25, 2002. The proposed contract listed here is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises DBEs. The Department of Transportation (DOT) Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
