Description
NA This is not an Invitation For Bid (IFB) nor a Request For Proposals (RFP). The solicitation number associated with this announcement was required by the system. There is not and will not be a document associated with that solicitation number. This Sourc es Sought Market Survey is seeking to identify suppliers for Type I, Class I Heater Assembly, Combustion Vehicular Compartment in accordance with MIL-PRF-62550D (AT), dated 30 May 1997, NSN 2540-01-194-3323. This specification replaces MIL-H-0046792B (AT) , dated 6 February 1984, which has been cancelled. The heater is a personnel heater used in various tactical vehicles such as the HMMWV and M939 Families of Vehicles. The heaters must take their combustion and ventilating air from the same source (Single Air). The heaters have a nominal rating of 8.8 kilowatts (kW) 30,000 British Thermal Units per hour [Btu/hr], but are also capable of operating at a nominal heating rate of 4.4 kW (15,000 Btu/hr). This announcement is to provide offerors notification of our intentions and to seek responses to the Heater Questionnaire that is posted on TACOMs Business Opportunities web page (http://contracting.tacom.army.mil/ssn/sources.htm). All responses must be received no later than close of business on 3 May 2002. All responses to the Heater Questionnaire should be sent to email address: florkad@tacom.army.mil or kovachr@tacom.army.mil.
