Description
NA This acquisition is a total HUBZone set-aside. Only offers from qualified HUBZone small business concerns that appear on the list of Qualified HUBZone Small Business Concerns maintained by the Small Business Administration will be accepted. Offers receiv ed from concerns that are not certified by SBA to participate in the HUBZone program shall be considered non-responsive and will be rejected. NAICS Code is 234990/SIC Code 1629, with a size standard of $28,500,000.00. The magnitude of construction is bet ween $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Bonding is required. This project is located in El Paso, El Paso County, Texas. Section 00100 of the Solicitation contains information regarding the site visit. Plans will be issued on or about March 25, 2002 with bid op ening on or about April 25, 2002. This solicitation will not be issued on paper. Bidders are advised that this requirement may be delayed, cancelled, or revised at any time during the solicitation, or final award process, and is subject to the availabili ty of funds. LOMALAND PHASE IV: Work consists of the construction of an earth and rockfill dam along with an outlet channel. The dam will require approximately 80,000 cubic yards of earthen material along with 17,000 cubic yards of aggregate material. In addition, the dam will also have three concrete inlets, a concrete gatewell structure and a concrete spillway. The outlet channel will consist of approximately 3,700 linear feet of 48-inch diameter pipe and associated manholes. Approximately 200 linea r feet of pipe will be cast-in-place with a steel liner, the remainder of the pipe will be RCP. The outlet channel will require working in city streets and coordinating with local utilities. The outlet channel work will require the relocation of existing utility lines encountered in the work area. The approximate construction period is 365 days. Additionally a paper form for registrati on may be obtained from the DoD Electronic Commerce Information Center at 1-800-334-3414. This solicitation will be issued using electronic bid sets (EBS) and provided on compact disks-read only (CD-ROM) at no charge to all registered plan holders. Any p rospective offeror interested in proposing on this solicitation must register to be placed on the Plan Holders List. If you are not registered, the United States Government is not responsible for providing you with notification of any changes to this soli citation. Bidders must self-register on the Internet. THE REGISTRATION PROCEDURE IS AS FOLLOWS: At the Albuquerque District Contracting Division home page at web site, http://www.spa.usace.army.mil, click on 'Contracting' followed by 'Solicitation Numbe r'. On this screen that is entitled, 'EBS Albuquerque District', click on the solicitation number you are interested in. On the following screen, find 'Solicitation Registration', and click on 'Register For This Solicitation'. If you have not previously registered, click on 'New User' and follow the instructions for 'Login Information'. This will require you to establish a user name and password. The same user name and password may be used to register for other projects in the system without having to repeat the entire registration process. When you register for the Plan Holders List, please complete all requested information. After completing the registration process for this solicitation, verify that your firm's name appears on the associated Plan H olders List. All bidders are required to check the Albuquerque District Contracting Division website daily for notification of any changes to this solicitation , including amendments.
