Description
The Virginia Contracting Activity, on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Agency/Missile and Space Intelligence Center (DIA/MSIC), Building 4545, Fowler Road, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898-5500 intends to enter into a contract with Auburn University. The contract is for expertise in the application of genetic algorithms in the analysis of foreign ballistic and air defense missiles. The contractor shall: recommend appropriate tools for inclusion in genetic algorithm-based missile analysis technologies; shall perform a genetic algorithm-based analysis of the design of a foreign missile system and shall compare the results of the design to baseline information on the missile system; shall identify and recommend a set of analysis tools appropriate for inclusion in a genetic algorithm methodology that might be used by the government; shall develop a plan for implementing genetic algorithms within MSIC's analysis infrastructure; shall fully document any software developed under this effort and provide an on-line user's manual for the MSIC analyst; shall provide a one-day training class at MSIC for analyst on the use of the software; provide the government unencumbered source code for all new software developed under this effort; and shall obtain or purchase at least two licenses for each commercial or government software package used in this effort; shall deliver all licenses, documentation, and original software media to the government at the end of the effort. All software must execute efficiency on MSIC's analyst workstation or on the High Performance Computer System. No solicitations shall be issued other than this notice.
