REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL NO. DTFA07-02-R-04266 <P> RE-ROOF BUILDING ?A? AT THE AIR ROUTE TRAFFIC CONTROL CENTER, HOUSTON, TEXAS <P> POINT OF CONTACT: Rose Marie S. Mendoza, Contracting Officer, (817) 222-4338 <P> The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Southwest Region, has the requirement to Re-roof Building ?A? at the Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC). The work includes total removal of the Hypalon roofing system in areas indicated, including removal appurtenances, and any conflicting equipment or systems such as lightning protection, exterior lighting. All designated areas shall be re-roofed with a single-ply polyvinyl chloride elastomeric membrane including new insulation. The work shall include, but not be limited to, testing, inspection, scheduling, reporting, shop drawings, and submittals. The contractor is cautioned that the existing buildings contain asbestos materials (ACM). The Government will furnish no material or equipment. It is strongly urged that the contractor carefully examine the premises to determine the extent of work and to conditions under which it must be done. The ARTCC is a 24-hour, 7 day per week operating facility. Special requirements co! nsist of Material Safety Data Sheets, work plan and scheduling, and protection of the environment. This procurement is 100% set-aside for socially and economically disadvantaged businesses (SEDB). If you are classified as an 8(a) contractor, you must provide a letter of certification from the Small Business Administration. The NAICS Codes are 23332 or 23561. The estimated price is between $250,000 - $500,000.
