Description

For information contact, Purchasing Agent, Dean A. Crouch, email: Dcrouch@usgs.gov, fax 703-648-7367. The U.S. Geological Survey, Patuxent Wildlife Research Center, Laurel, MD intends to award a non-competitive purchase order via request for written quotation to Microwave Telemetry, 8835 Columbia 100 Parkway, Suites K & L, Columbia, MD 21046 to purchase ten Intra-Abdominal Satellite Transmitters with percutaneus antennae to be delivered by 04/05/2002. The anticipated award date is 3/13/2002. The specifications are as follows: (1) Implantable satellite transmitter PTT (intra-abdominal), (2) percutaneous antennae, (3) transmitter weight of 35 grams, (4) compatible with Argos satellite system certified, (5) the duty cycle will be 8 hours of transmission and 48 hours of non-transmission for 100 cycles, (6) allow total transmission for approximately seven months. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Information will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Determination to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses to this notice must be submitted via email to dcrouch@usgs.gov or fax to 703-648-7367.
