Description

Scope of work includes but is not limited to: removal & disposal of existing boilers & replace the removed boilers with multiple auxiliary boilers in accordance with the specifications & drawings provided. Modify the hot water piping as shown on the drawings. Work to be accomplished at the Federal Bldg/U.S. Cthse, 201 S. Vine, Urbana, Illinois. Contract completion is 100 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed. This contract requires a lump sum offer. This procurement is set-aside for small business concerns. The North American Industrial Classification System Code is 235110 with a size standard of $12 million. The estimated cost range is between $100,000, & $300,000. This is a negotiated, best value procurement. GSA, PBS, Property Management Division, Contract Support Services Branch, will no longer issue construction solicitations via the Federal Business Opportunities website, http://www.fedbizopps.gov. All requests for a copy of the solicitation and drawings must be made on the company's official letterhead, accompanied by an original signature. In order for the request to be valid, the requester must also provide one of the following documents: (1)copy of company's current business license;(2)a valid Dun & Bradstreet number, or(3)copy of a company official's valid state driver's license. NO FAX, TELEPHONIC, OR E:MAIL REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. All solicitations will be stored on a compact disc and mailed to the requestor upon receipt of the required information. All requests must be submitted to:General Services Administration, Attn: Debbie Ethell, 509 W. Capitol-Ste 206, Springfield, Illinois 62704. The solicitation will be available on or about March 26, 2002. Offer due date and time for receipt of proposals will be May 1, 2002, at 3:00p.m.(Central Time).
