- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with The University of Maryland to perform professional scientific services. These services are a continuation of previous work where progress was made towards the development of an axisymmetric reacting flow code as well as the development of a chemical reaction mechanism for group III precursor molecule decomposition during chemical vapor deposition. This requirement is to improve the understanding of the chemistry and transport phenomena occurring within chemical vapor deposition reactors. This will include efforts to understand the effect of gas phase particle formation on silicon film growth rates, reaction mechanism development for group III and metallic copper precursors. The University of Maryland has a key individual, Prof. Sheryl Ehrman, who has previously performed services directly related to NIST over a five-year period. The period of performance is one year. FOB Destination, Gaithersburg, Md. No solicitation package will be issued. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received by the date identified above. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. The anticipated award date will be approximately ten days after the date of this notice. See Note 26.
