Description
This is a design/build project and is set aside for SEDB concerns approved under the SBA 8(a) program. The specification will cover the requirements for the work associated with the design, fabrication, and delivery of an Equipment and EG (Engine Generator) building to service an ALSF2/SSALR (Dual Mode High Intensity Approach Lighting System). Equipment includes HVAC, UPS, Power Distribution Equipment, Transfer switches and a 175 KW Engine Generator. The salient features listed below and in the specification are minimum requirements. Drawings will be provided to give the contractor a conceptual idea of a typical shelter. The building will become part of a new Approach Lighting System being installed to serve runway 34L at the Denver International Airport. The contractor is encouraged to provide a new and unique proposal that would best benefit the FAA. The building must be steel, factory assembled, self-contained, and portable. Separate areas are to be provided for! the ALSF Equipment, Engine Generator, and Maintenance work. Contractor furnished material must be integrated with the Government furnished material and made totally operational by the contractor. Work includes, but is not limited to: Design and Fabrication of an approximately 32'x32' single outdoor metal building to accommodate the ALSF equipment, engine generator equipment, and maintenance functions. Installation of the ALSF and EG equipment inside and on the building. Providing a foundation design for the building. Delivery of the building to the site and off-loading the building at the site. Note: All fabrication, equipment installation, and initial testing shall be done indoors at an offsite location provided by the contractor. The contractor shall allow full access by the FAA while fabrication and equipment installation is taking place. Prospective offerors may be asked for proof of SBA 8(a) certification, lists of proposed sub-contractors and details regarding pric! e. Details of the propose building and an itemization of the offerors past performance may also be required.
