Description
NA The Volpe Center plans to procure a sole source Simplified Acquisition from Abaqus Solutions Northeast, LLC, Warwick, RI, to provide the renewal of ABAQUS finite element analysis software license for one year, April 1, 2002 to March 31, 2003. This requirement is for a two-seat license for a finite element analysis software system, which is capable of linear, nonlinear, static and dynamic analysis. The product must include a graphical post-processing feature, which is compatible with Silicon Graphics workstation display capabilities. Small Business firms classified under NAICS Code 541513 that are interested in responding, must have a code that would allow for adaptive meshing capabilities using Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian techniques, include multiple plasticity models capable of mode lin g metals, rubbers, geomechanic materials, and crushable foam materials and the code should also include an equation of state material property model capable of modeling fluid-solid interactions during low velocity impacts with the possibility of perforation. Small business firms will be required to submit one page of documentation in support of the criteria listed above prior to receiving a Request for Quote (RFQ). This proposed action is for services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority 6.302. This notice of intent in not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice received will normally be considered, solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Small Business firms that are interested in receiving an RFQ must respond by March 25, 2002. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short - term working capital assistance for transportation - related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
