- The 325th Contracting Squadron at Tyndall AFB, Florida intends to award a contract to provide all personnel, equipment, supervision, and all other items and services necessary to perform flying hours in support of Contracted Training Flight Service (CTFS) at Tyndall AFB, Florida. This was previously sent out as a Request for Information under F08637-02-RFI-FTS1. Requirements include: Non-personal service to provide flight-training services using turboprop or high performance aircraft at Tyndall AFB, Florida. Training services will include ground-controlled intercept target training, live-fire training, weapons system evaluations, and MAJCOM directed development test and evaluations at Tyndall AFB, FL. The contractor shall be required to provide approximately 3000 flight training hours annually. The aircraft must be equipped to carry government furnished telemetry relay equipment. Crews with specialized training and qualifications must fly the aircraft. Pilots must have a current Commercial Pilot License with Instrument Privileges, at least a minimum of one-year experience in fighter and USAF flight line operations and ground control intercept (GCI) procedures. Maintenance Supervisor will have the following certification: Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Frame and Propulsion (A&P) License and all other maintenance personnel must be certified in accordance with the applicable FAA directives for their respective duties. The contract period shall consists of one (1) basic year plus six (6) option years, beginning 1 Oct 02. The contract type will be firm-fixed price, small business set-aside, under NAICS 611512. Request for Proposal will be issued on or about 29 Apr 2002, on Federal Business Opportunities www.eps.gov. No paper copies will be issued. Firms desiring to receive a copy of this solicitation should go to www.eps.gov. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business participation under NAICS code 611512, size standard $18.5 M. Only firms eligible may compete for award. A site visit will be conducted at Tyndall AFB, FL o/a 15 May 02. Appropriate security clearance will be required of the successful offeror.
