- The 30th Space Wing, Vandenberg AFB CA, is soliciting offerors for rental of Theatrical Lighting and Stage Dressing .for the "Guardian Challenge" 2002 opening ceremonies and banquet ceremonies at the 76TH Rescue Flight Hangar, Vandenberg AFB, CA. This is a combine synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F04684-02-T-0042 and will be issued as a request for quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition circular 2001-04. This acquisition is a 100 % set-aside for small business participation only. The SIC Code is 7922 and size standard is $5 million. This will be one {1} job with 7 tasks in accordance with attach statement of work as follows: The contractor shall provide all necessary tools, including items requiring rental (i.e. Cranes, forklifts, etc.) to ensure installation is completed by deadline. 1.1- GENERAL: By direction of the government representative(s), identified by the contracting officer, the contractor shall, upon approval of said representative, install and setup, soft goods, truss assemblies, and required lighting components, in addition to dimmer board operation, in a manor to best provide stage and audience lighting within the 76th Rescue Flight hangar for approximately one thousand people. The contractor will provide transportation for delivery and pick-up of equipment to the Vandenberg AFB. 1.2-Installation of the Stage Truss Components: Shall be installed on 25 Apr 02 and operational by 26 Apr 02, loading out on or about {10:00 AM} 10 May 02. 1.3- Installation of the Lighting Grid Components: Shall be installed by 01 May 02 and operational by 02 May 02, loading out on or about {10:00 AM} 10 May 02. 2.0-Labor: The contractor shall provide all technical knowledge and the minimal number of technicians required to coordinate the setup of the lighting and soft goods, to include the installation, adjustments, and operation, tear-down of all equipment provided by the contractor. The government to assist in the placement of lighting components, rigging and motors, and stage dressing will provide lift support. The contractor shall supervise the placement of three rear-screen projection screens {provided} in conjunction with the lighting set-up. 2.1- Labor/Operation: The contractor will operate the lighting systems from rehearsals through performance for the period of {8:00 AM} 04 May 02 to {11:00 PM} 09 May 02. 3.0- Equipment: The contractor shall provide, but not limited to all equipment listed herein. 4.0-Soft Goods: The contractor shall provide, but not limited to all items listed herein for stage and screen dressing. Contractor shall show breakdown cost for each task item and provide a complete total price for the job listed above. The Provisions at FAR 52.212-1 "Instructions to Offerors-Commercial,"with the following addenda applies to this acquisition: Offerors shall submit past performance data consisting of three recent and relevant contracts with their offer. The provisions at FAR 52.212-2 "Evaluation-Commercial Items" applies to this acquisition.
