Description
NA This announcement is a notice that TRICARE Regions 3 & 4 including all Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs) in the states of Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Tennessee are in the process of standardizing Safety Veni-puncture Devic es for Blood Collection, to include: Needles and Butterflies (Multi-Sample), and Tube Holders. Companies with current Distribution and Pricing Agreements (DAPA?s) with the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia for these items are eligible to participate in t he standardization process. Base company criteria for this product line includes but is not limited to the following: must carry a full product line, must provide customer support, in the form of a sales representative for each MTF within TRICARE Regions 3 & 4, must provide clinical support, education programs, and utilization reports, must provide company?s return policy, must provide company?s distribution network, must be able to provide product for all MTFs within TRICARE Regions 3 & 4, and must provide electronic and hard-copy o f proposed pricing and competitive product cross-reference. Base product criteria for this product line includes but is not limited to the following: the safety feature must be an integral part of the device and NOT an accessory, must allow worker?s hands to remain behind the needle at all times, is activated befor e disassembly, remains protective through disposal, must be easy to use, must not cause the patient added discomfort, must come in a variety of sizes, must work reliably with the blood collection tubes from all major manufacturers, must state the latex con tent of all products, must provide literature on all products. Respondents must address all criteria listed above.
