Description

NA The Directorate of Peninsula Contracting will be issuing Solicitation DABT57-02-R-0009 on or about 1 Apr 2002 to provide services for Programmed Drydocking, Cleaning, Painting and Repairs to US Army Reserve Vessels, Landing Craft Mechanized (LCM) 8540 and 8560, stationed at Tacoma, Washington. The area of consideration is restricted from Northern Washington to Southern California. Dimensions are as follows: Length overall: 73 feet, 6 inches; Beam: 21 feet, 5 inches; Displacement: 58.81 long tons; Draft Lo aded (Mean): 4 feet, 7 inches; Design: LCM 8 Mod 1; Construction: Steel. One fixed-price contract is contemplated for both vessels. This procurement is unrestricted. The services will include a 60 calendar day performance period for each vessel. Contracto r's shall have a Master Vessel Agreement with Ft Eustis, VA, in order to be awarded this contract. The Solicitation can be obtained through the Army's Single Face to Industry (AFSI) web site at http://acquisition.army.mil, under business opportunities, and also at http://tac.eustis.army.mil, under solicitations. All amendments to the Solicitation will be posted to the AFSI web site. Contractors are cautioned to check the web site periodically for amendments. A site visit will be conducted in accordance wit h information provided in Section L of the Solicitation.
