Description
This is a Pre-Solicitation notice for a full and open competition. This solicitation will only be released and available electronically at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Accordingly, NO written, telephone, facsimile or e-mail requests for the solicitation package will be accepted. The Government anticipates issuing a Solicitation on or about 04/01//02 by posting it on the website www.fedbizopps.gov. Estimated proposal due date is on or about 05/01/02, with an estimated award date of 07/15/02. Since this solicitation will only be available electronically, it will be the responsibility of interested parties to monitor the FedBizOpps.gov website for any solicitation amendments. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has a requirement for assessment, calibration and performance evaluations for the LTPP weigh-in-motion sites. A draft Statement of Work (SOW) will be posted at the FedBizOpps.gov website on or about 03/14/02. The FHWA encourages contractor input on this draft SOW. All feedback relative to the draft SOW, to include comments, recommendations or concerns, shall be e-mailed to Amy Kruger, Contract Specialist, at amy.kruger@fhwa.dot.gov, no later than 03/22/02. The FHWA anticipates making one award as a result of this solicitation. The FHWA anticipates that the resulting contract will be an indefinite-delivery-indefinite-quantity contract utilizing firm-fixed-price task orders. The estimated period of performance is 5 years. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 541330, Engineering Services.
