Description

NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are bein g requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for proposal under W81C3920580110A. The Government intends to award this requirement on a sole source basis to Sypris Data Systems, 605 E. Huntinton Drive , Monrovia, CA. pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, ?Only One Responsible Source?. The National Range, Metrics Engineering Test Branch at White Sands Missile Range, NM has a requirement for 2 each Very Large Data Storage VLDS model 64 telemetry recorder systems cons isting of the following. 2 each MET64SCFA Model 64 with TTL serial Parallel data I/O, 2 each 16822688-002 Rack Mount Kit, 2 each CTS-2191AL-3 20 Slot chassis with Rack Mount Kit, 2 each CTS-2182AL-5 Controller, 2 each CTS-2101CL Mux, 2 each CTS-2141CL Demux, 2 each 16823378-010 PC To Armor, 2 each 16828624-210 Control Cable, 2 each 16828624-010 Data Cable, 2 each CTS-2111CL-1 4 Channel PCM Input 50 Ohm, 2 each CTS-2151-1 4 Channel PCM Output Module, 2 each CST-2138AL-111 Time Code Voice Module, 2 each CST-2131BL-110000 4 Channel Analog Input 50 Ohm, 2 each CST-2171CL-1 4 Channel Analog Output module, 2 each 16830819-101 Laptop Computer, Parallel Controller Kit. These recorders must be compatible with existing recorders used by National Range, Metrics Engineering Test Branch, and project contractors. The recording format used by these recorders is proprietary and in order to allow data sharing between the range u sers, data must be recorded using this existing format. Interested contractors must provide adequate documentation to show that they are capable of providing either brand name or equal equipment. Delivery is FOB destination Transportation Officer, Bldg 1840, White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico 88002 (ZONE 1) . The provisions at 52.212-1, ?Instructions to Offers?Commercial?, 52.212-3 ?Offeror Representations and Certifications?, 52.212-4, ?Contract Terms and Conditions?Commercial Items?, and 52.212-5 ?Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Status or Executive Orders?Commercial Items? apply to this acquisition and any addenda to these provisions. Clauses and Provisions may be accessed in full text at http://farsite.af.mil. Proposals may be submitted in contractor format and shall include: (1) Comp any name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and FAX number; (2) solicitation number, (3) unit and extended prices for all CLINS, (4) prompt payment terms, (5) Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), (6) Contractor DUNS Number and Commercial and Gove rnment Entity (CAGE) Code, and (7) complete copy of the Representations and Certifications at FAR 52.212-3 and DFARS 252.212-7001 and (8) adequate documentation to show that they are capable of providing either brand name or equal equipment. Offerors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to receiving an award for this acquisition. Award will be made to the technically acceptable, low price offeror. Offerors responding to this announcement shall submit t heir proposal via e-mail to guthrieed@wsmr.army.mil. Proposals must be received by close of business on 19 March 2002.
