- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Annex proposes to contract for an Annual Indefinite Delivery/Requirements Type Contract for a base year with four (4) one-year option periods for the Rental of 40 Ton Air Conditioning and Heating Units and 60 Ton Air Conditioning and Heating Units for delivery to Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA 23709-5000. The estimated quantity is 8 each 40 Ton Unit per year and 10 each 60 Ton Units per year. The 40 Ton Unit shall not be rated at less than 480,000 BTU/HR cooling capability and supply minimum 8,000 CFM; must have electric heaters with the capability to add at least 480,000 BTU/HR of heat to the air stream at a minimum flow rate of 8,000 CFM. The 60 Ton Unit shall not be rated at less than 720,000 BTU/HR cooling capability and supply minimum 12,000 CFM; must have electric heaters with the capability to add at least 720,000 BTU/HR of heat to the air stream at a minimum flow rate of 12,000 CFM. Both units must be 460V, 60HZ, 3 PHASE and equipped with a grounding stud; shall be enclosed and self contained and suitable for use in a shipyard environment; shall have covers or other safety devices for all parts that present safety hazards; must be able to fit on a service bridge which is 19 feet 7 inches wide with minimum of two feet of space left around the width; must have suitable attachment for lifting with a crane; must be skid mounted and forkliftable and shall have a minimum of 4 inches high x 8 1/2 inches wide ID forklift channel; must be charged with refrigerant; shall have discharge fittings for connection of ducting. Rental includes on-site set up, start-up training and maintenance checks, repairs and/or replacement, and technical support. Descriptive Literature will be required with offers. THIS REQUIREMENT IS BEING HANDLED UTILIZING "SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES" AS SET FORTH IN FAR PART 13 AND AUTHORIZED IN FAR PART 13.5, TEST PROGRAM FOR CERTAIN COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS.
