General Information Document Type: Request for Quotation Solicitation Number: Reference Number F04684-02-T-0040 Posted: 8 March 2002 NAICS: 541380 Description The 30th Space Wing, Vandenberg Air Force Base, is soliciting offers to replace a Hypocholorite Generation System, Model B-100 with Model CT-200 or equal. Contractor to furnish all labor, tools, parts, materials, facilities, transportation, and supervision necessary to provide installation of ClorTec Model CT-200 or equal on site sodium Hypocholorite Generation System. Currently we have two ClorTec B-100 units. New units should be compatible with existing vents, controls and power hook-ups with only minor modifications. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F04684-02-T-0040 and will be issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-05. This acquisition is solicited as full and open competition. The NAIC code is 541380 and the size standard is 5,000,000.00 dollars. Minimum salient characteristics include, but are not limited to: All the necessary appurtenances associated with sodium hypocholorite generation system; capable of producing 200lbs ppd free available chlorine (FAC) and able to produce 0.8 FAC residual; meet EPA and NFS approval for Safety; and warranty on workmanship of installation and setup of unit. The hypocholorite storage tank and the sodium hypocholorite brine storage tank will be provided by the government. Offerors submitting other than the brand name products must submit descriptive literature in accordance with FAR 52.214-21. Training and installation must be provided. Training will consist of thoroughly training government operators on operation and maintenance of unit. Delivery and installation to Vandenberg Air Force Base no later than 4 weeks after receipt of order. FOB: Destination. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, "Instructions to Offerors-Commercial" applies to this acquisition along with any addenda to the provision. The provisions at FAR 52.212-2, "Evaluation-Commercial Items" apply to this acquisition. This item is being procured and will be awarded using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR 13.0. Offerors must submit a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, "Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items." The DFARS clause 252.212-7000, "Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items" applies to this acquisition.
