- NA The US Army Signal Command has a requirement for nonpersonal services for local telephone exchange services for Fort Eustis and Fort Story, VA. The proposed contract is for a base year with four one-year options. The local exchange services provider, cer tified by the state of Virginia, shall provide local commercial communications service for Fort Eustis and Fort Story, VA which shall include, as a minimum but not limited to, local access for commercial subscriber lines, foreign exchange trunks, local exc hange digital (ISDN PRI) trunk, directory number and number portability. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered. Sources responding to this requirement must indicate in writing, whether they are a large, small, disadvantaged and /or women-owned business. For this acquisition, a concern will be considered small under NAICS code 51331/51333 and SIC code 4813 with size standard of 1500 employees. This requirement shall be a commercial fixed price type contract. Solicitation is anticipated to be released on or about 14 March 2002. The Government will conduct a preproposa l conference and site visit on 20 March 2002 at Fort Eustis, VA, Bldg 1387. The conference will be from 9:30-10:30 am (approximately) and will be followed by a site visit from 10:30 ? 12:00 am. Offerors planning to attend are required to notify the speci alist listed below, in writing, of all attendees? names (not to exceed three per company) prior to 18 March 2002 (NOTE: Offerors shall provide the attendees? names, so access can be granted prior to the pre-proposal conference). An e-mail response to the specialist listed below is acceptable. Questions received prior to the conference must be received before 18 March 2002. Questions generated as a result of the preproposal conference must be received before 11 April 2002. Written responses to offeror-ge nerated questions will be provided to all Offerors.
