- Description
- The government intends to acquire Wiring Harness Assemblies on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The wiring harness assemblies will be used in the MH-60L/K Special Operations Aircraft. These aircraft are fielded with two T700-701C engines, each of which are controlled through a Digital Electronic Control Unit (DECU) currently being replaced with a DECU 2000 in order to mitigate a safety issue. A firm fixed price supply contract is anticipated. The quantity is 47 each of the No. 1 (P/N AA5554-1) and No. 2 (P/N AA5553-1) wiring harness assemblies. The intended sole source of supply is ATLAS AERO of Corporation, Meriden, Connecticut. ATLAS AERO is the sole manufacturer of the AA5553-1 and AA5554-1 wiring harnesses. ATLAS AERO possesses the proprietary data for the wiring harness, which is the only harness that has the form, fit and function required to support the integration of the DECU 2000 on the MH-60. No other contractor has the experience or equipment to provide the required items by the required delivery dates. Specifications, plans or drawings relating to this procurement are not available and cannot be furnished. This is a DO-A1 rated order. The solicitation number is USZA95-02-R-0019.
